The course will introduce the new RDA standard: Resources, Description, and Access. This metadata standard aims to assist users in the discovery of bibliographic and non-bibliographic resources in the context of a digital information environment, open to changes occurring in the universe of recorded knowledge (e.g., changes in media, type of content, and publication mode).
The course is aimed at library science students, professors, and professionals involved in cataloging and organizing information, as well as archivists and museum curators.

* He is an associate professor at the Dipartimento di Musicologia e di beni culturali (Cremona) dell'Università degli studi di Pavia, where he is in charge of the courses of Bibliography and Library Science, Book History and Description and access to bibliographic resources. He graduated in Conservation of Cultural Assets at the University of Udine, and obtained the title of Doctor in Bibliographic Sciences at the University of Udine (2004). He is the author of numerous articles and books. His latest books: The library spiegata agli studenti universitari (Editrice Bibliografica, 2012), in collaboration with Mauro Guerrini and Andrea Capaccioni, Introduzione a RDA con Mauro Guerrini (Editrice Bibliografica, 2014) and I fondamenti della biblioteconomia. Attualità del pensiero di SR Ranganathan (Editrice Bibliografica, 2015).
